  • Torquay Regional Morning Report: 7.40 am Saturday, 5 December: The SW swell has dropped back considerably from the last two days and now back in the 2ft range. Still catching on the reefs this morning but with way more swell on the open beach breaks. A light NNE wind to turn NE at 15 to 25ks this morning. High tide was at 4 am with an outgoing tide to a low tide at 10 am. Well worth a surf to catch the last remains of swell on offer.

Rest of Day Outlook: SW groundswell will maintain in the 2ft range and slowly decrease as the day goes on, so make the most of it as the NE winds will be increasing throughout the day. Forecast for NW winds increasing for later on this afternoon shifting Westerly tonight. The next High tide is at 3.30 pm. Have a great day.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.

Psillakis Surfboards

I started surfing in 1980, and started shaping boards in 1989.

Mt Woodgee Surfboards

Mt Woodgee is one of Australia's oldest Surfboard Manufacturers, building custom Surfboards on the Gold Coast since 1976.

LSD Surfboards

Creating something aesthetically beautiful, that has function and brings joy to a beginner surfer or an elite competitor are the reasons why LSD creator Luke Short is still passionate and evolving his designs after twenty years.

Bob Minty Surfboards Straddie

I started shaping Single Fins in the late 70’s then Twin Fins and Channel Bottoms.
