  • Sunshine Coast Regional Morning Report (5:55am Wednesday):  A combination of  SE and Easterly swells see's an improvement in wave height across the region this morning, with it being more noticeable on the  exposed open beaches, with average wave height in the waist to chest high range, and expect some larger set waves with the morning incoming tide.  High Tide at 6:09am. Surf conditions are looking good at most locations under light SW winds, with the beaches north of Coolum looking a little wind affected, the same along the Kawana stretch south to Currimundi, and Kings. The High Tide has swallowed up most of the swell out at The Bluff and corner and the waves will shape up more as the tide recedes. Fun waves along Maroochydore.

Rest of Day Outlook: Make the most of the morning with the outgoing tide as conditions will deteriorate across the open beaches as the North to North Easterly winds kick in through the early afternoon. Wave height will drop a little with the low tide and pick back up as the tide moves back in. Expect wind affected waves due to the onshore winds with the northern corners offering some semi cleaner  surf. There is the chance of more thunderstorms and rain through the day,  keep an eye out for those  little windows of light winds inbetween to clean up the surf. Low Tide 12:08pm
