Sunshine Coast Regional Morning Report (Tuesday 19th January 5:40am ) Small easterly swell, with some underlying south swell is producing some fun smaller waves across the open beaches this morning. Depending on location and exposure to the light West winds currently in play, surf conditions are fair to good earlier on with average wave height in the knee to waist high range on the sets, with it being smaller inside the southern corners and bays. An outgoing tide (Low Tide Maroochydore 5:50am @0.6m) with wave quality being fair to good earlier on. Make the most of the morning surf coupled with the incoming tide and light winds. Good options are the open beach stretches from Marcoola to Peregian, Twin Waters, small surf along Maroochydore south to Alex, Wurtulla and the Kawana back beaches.
Rest Of The Day Outlook: The earlier surf conditions will start to deteriorate around mid morning with a forecast of onshore winds mainly from the North then tending ENE in the afternoon. The small surf on offer will get buried under the high tide (High Tide Maroochydore 12:15pm @1.5m) There is scope for some building south swell, being more noticeable along the regions swell magnets over the next few days.

Creating something aesthetically beautiful, that has function and brings joy to a beginner surfer or an elite competitor are the reasons why LSD creator Luke Short is still passionate and evolving his designs after twenty years.
Morning of the Earth Surfboards
For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
