Sunshine Coast Regional Dawn Patrol Report (Tuesday 2nd March 5:53am) Another great looking morning around the regions beaches with fun waves on offer at the more exposed open beach locations, which are offering the larger waves. The Northern beaches and along the Kawana stretch averaging wave height in the waist to head high, with it being a little smaller everywhere else. There is some tidal push so expect some larger set waves as that tide rolls in with high tide around 10am. Surf conditions and wave quality are fair to good earlier on, being subject to light W-SW winds.
Rest of the day outlook: Longrange ESE groundswell will start to fill in with the open beaches having the most size. The early West winds will tend more E-NE through the day, up to 10 knots ahead of a late southerly change. Mostly fair surf conditions on offer most of the day with the open beaches your go to options, smaller waves in those southern corners. (Low Tide Maroochydore 4:20pm)
