Gold Coast Regional Morning Report: 6.20 am Friday, 5th March: Amazing autumn conditions are greeting a mix of smaller ESE and SSE swells, maintaining knee to waist high surf along the along the open beaches and even the points have a few little runners. There's a tad more size at the magnets and conditions are about as clean as they get under light WSW to SW land-breezes, so get out there while the getting is good. The tide is already most of the way out to an 6.20 am low and it will return to a 12.42 pm high.
Rest of the Day Outlook: A light autumn wind-regime keeps the door open to a full day of mostly clean conditions as south swell slowly backs off, so there's potential for a lot of time in the water today if you're keen. Winds will turn light NE to east ahead of a moderate SSE change later this evening, leading in a return to fresh SSE breezes tomorrow - so make hay while the sun shines. Have a great day.
