Sydney regional surf report, 6.50 am Thursday, 4th March: Light westerlies are greeting a still good sized south swell in the chest to head-high range, with occasional bigger overhead sets still in the mix along the more south exposed stretches. It's looking a bit straight as the tide approaches a 7.00 am low, but otherwise pretty good, with well organised sets brushed by offshores.
Rest of the Day Outlook: South swell is on a slow decline, but there's enough in the tank to keep fun surf on tap as winds swing north and then NE during the day, keeping the focus fixed on the more south-facing breaks for size and quality all day. The tide runs in to a 1.00 pm high and runs back out to a 7.00 pm low. Have a great Thursday.

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
