Ballina Regional Surf Report: 7.00 am Thursday, 4th March: It's a mixed back of solid swell and flukey winds this morning, with set waves still in the head-high to occasional overhead range at North Wall, wrapping at smaller waist to head high levels along the open beaches. The wind can't make up its mind, shifting between SW and SE and fluctuating in strength between 5 to 20 knots, and as a result it's looking pretty lumpy and bumpy. The latest weather station reading is light SW, so if you're keen for a paddle now could be the time. The tide is about to hit a 6.54 am low and will run in to a 12.53 pm high.
Rest of the Day Outlook: A solid pulse of south swell supplies the region with good size surf all day, the only sticking point is moderate south-easterlies settling in around 10-15 knots during the morning before gradually easing in strength this arvo, so you'll fare best for quality inside a sheltered southern corner or point. Have a great Thursday.
